In contrast to secondary settling tanks in biological sewage treatment plants, the treated wastewater in damming reactors (SBR) cannot be discharged via the usual drainage channel due to the nature of the process. Since volume must be created again in the SB reactor for the wastewater to be discharged, a discharge device for clear water is required, which follows the falling water level.
